大阪大学総合学術博物館のサテライト展示として、理学研究科G棟の玄関に、眞島先生のウルシオール研究に関する資料を展示しました。
石松 決（平賀義美）、吉田彦六郎、三山喜三郎らの研究によって明らかとなっていた、漆の主成分「ウルシオール」ですが、その化学構造の決定に尽力したのが眞島利行先生です。欧州への留学経験を活かし、当時最先端の実験装置であった、「高度減圧蒸留装置」、「常圧接触還元装置」、「オゾン発生装置」を駆使して、ウルシオールの構造決定に成功されました。本展示コーナーには、眞島先生の実験ノート（パネル写真）、ウルシオールのオゾン酸化に関する論文別刷、眞島先生が実際に単離されたウルシオールのほか、高度減圧蒸留装置（レプリカ）、常圧接触還元装置（レプリカ）、オゾン発生装置（パネル写真）などが展示され、眞島先生のウルシオール研究を概観することができます。是非一度ご覧になってください。
